Anthony Cooper

Anthony Cooper is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Cooper & Cooper, P.A., a Northeast Florida law firm with dedicated family law and probate, guardianship, and estate planning divisions serving clients throughout Northeast Florida.

Originally from a small town in the mountains of North Carolina, Anthony was the first person in his family to attend college. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro before relocating to Florida to pursue a legal career focused on helping individuals and families navigate complex legal challenges.

Anthony earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he also received a Certificate in Family Law Studies. During law school, he served as a Certified Legal Intern in the Family Law Clinic, gaining hands-on courtroom and litigation experience while assisting clients under the supervision of experienced family law attorneys and professors.

Following law school, Anthony began his legal career at a large, high-volume Florida family law firm, where he handled a broad range of matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, paternity, modifications, mediation, and estate planning. His experience working within a fast-paced litigation environment exposed him to hundreds of family law cases and allowed him to develop a strong understanding of both the legal and practical realities clients face during difficult transitions.

During his time there, Anthony earned multiple awards and recognitions for his performance, including honors related to attorney production, billable hours, client service, and overall work ethic. His dedication to both client experience and operational excellence helped establish him as a leader within the firm and ultimately led to expanded leadership and management responsibilities.

As his career progressed, Anthony moved into leadership and operational roles where he managed attorneys, staff, and day-to-day legal operations while continuing to actively oversee complex family law matters. That combination of litigation experience and operational leadership continues to shape his approach today.

Anthony is also a licensed Florida Supreme Court Family Law Mediator and brings that additional perspective into the firm’s approach to negotiation, conflict resolution, and case strategy.

At Cooper & Cooper, P.A., Anthony now focuses heavily on firm leadership, strategic growth, operations, client experience, and long-term business development while continuing to oversee the firm’s family law division alongside his wife and law partner, Charlean Cooper, as well as the firm’s probate, guardianship, and estate planning division.

Under Anthony and Charlean’s leadership, Cooper & Cooper, P.A. has rapidly grown into a multi-attorney Northeast Florida law firm serving clients throughout Clay County, Duval County, St. Johns County, and the surrounding areas.

Anthony is known for his strategic mindset, client-focused approach, and commitment to building a law firm centered on responsiveness, professionalism, and compassionate representation during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Outside of the office, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their corgi. Family remains at the center of everything he does both personally and professionally.
