Jennifer Gelsomino

Family Law Attorney
Jennifer Gelsomino

Jennifer Gelsomino is a Family Law Attorney at Cooper & Cooper, P.A., where she represents individuals and families throughout Northeast Florida in divorce, paternity, timesharing, child support, modifications, relocations, stepparent adoptions, and other family law matters.

Jennifer brings a strong litigation background, extensive courtroom experience, and a client-focused approach to every case. She understands that family law matters often involve some of the most important relationships, financial decisions, and transitions in a person’s life, and she is committed to helping clients navigate those challenges with clarity and confidence.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Eastern Kentucky University before earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, she completed more than 320 hours of pro bono service assisting indigent individuals and received the Pro Bono Service Award.

Following law school, Jennifer served as an Assistant State Attorney in Clay and Duval Counties, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases and developed substantial courtroom and trial experience. She handled matters from their initial stages through trial, argued motions, negotiated resolutions, prepared witnesses and victims for court, and developed the ability to remain strategic and composed in high-pressure situations.

Jennifer now brings that litigation experience to her family law practice. She has represented clients through negotiations, mediations, contested hearings, and trials and believes that while not every case needs to become a courtroom battle, every case should be prepared with care and strategy.

At Cooper & Cooper, P.A., Jennifer is known for combining compassion with strong advocacy. She believes clients should feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the legal process while also having an attorney prepared to advocate decisively when necessary.

Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their five pets. Family is at the center of her own life, giving her a personal appreciation for how important the issues involved in family law can be.
