Jelisa Hall

Jelisa Hall is a Family Law Attorney at Cooper & Cooper, P.A., where she represents individuals and families throughout Northeast Florida in divorce, paternity, timesharing, child support, modifications, and other family law matters.

Born in Virginia and raised in a military family, Jelisa spent much of her childhood living on military bases in Florida, Italy, and Japan. Growing up in different communities and cultures gave her an early appreciation for adaptability, resilience, and the importance of stability during major life transitions.

Jelisa earned bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University. Her academic background gave her a deeper understanding of human behavior, family relationships, and the ways conflict and major life changes can affect both parents and children.

Before attending law school, Jelisa worked with an information technology team in a corporate environment, gaining experience in problem-solving, communication, and navigating complex systems. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Jelisa began her legal career in civil litigation, where she represented individuals injured in motor vehicle collisions and advocated for them through the claims and litigation process. That experience strengthened her skills in negotiation, case strategy, client counseling, and litigation.

She later transitioned into family law because of her desire to work more directly with individuals and families facing significant personal and legal challenges. Jelisa understands that family law cases can affect nearly every aspect of a client’s life, including their children, finances, home, and future.

At Cooper & Cooper, P.A., Jelisa takes a client-centered and practical approach to representation. She believes clients should understand their legal options, the potential consequences of important decisions, and the strategy behind their case. She strives to provide clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and strong advocacy so clients can make informed decisions with confidence.
Jelisa’s goal is not simply to help clients resolve the immediate legal issue before them, but to help position them and their families for greater stability as they move into the next chapter of their lives.

Outside of the office, Jelisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
