Attorney Charlean Leann Cooper is a passionate and dedicated family law attorney who brings a wealth of experience and a genuine commitment to helping Florida families through their most challenging times. Charlean’s journey into law was driven by her desire to help those who often feel voiceless, particularly children, and to provide a strong, supportive voice for individuals facing difficult legal issues.

Originally from North Carolina, Charlean graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science from Western Carolina University. She then moved to Florida to pursue her Juris Doctorate at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she honed her skills and deepened her commitment to advocacy. During law school, Charlean worked as a Legal Intern for the Florida Department of Children and Families, serving in both Children’s Legal Services and the Office of the General Counsel. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic, where she gained hands-on experience advocating for vulnerable children and families.

After earning her J.D., Charlean began her legal career at the Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, where she worked as both a Certified Legal Intern and later as an Associate Attorney. In this role, she represented the state of Florida during motion hearings, court dockets, and trials, which allowed her to develop a strong litigation foundation and become a well-rounded and effective attorney. Her extensive courtroom experience, particularly in child welfare cases, has made her a formidable force in litigation throughout Northeast Florida.

Following honing of her skills in litigation at Childrens Legal Services, Charlean transitioned into family law, where she continues to utilize her strong litigation skills and deep commitment to advocacy. She has participated in mediations, motion hearings, and trials covering a wide range of family law issues, from divorce and paternity cases, child custody, child support and more. Her goal is to help families navigate the legal system with empathy, professionalism, and determination to achieve the best possible outcomes.

When she is not advocating for her clients, Charlean enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two corgis. She is an avid reader and loves to travel, embracing new experiences with her family. Charlean is deeply passionate about her work and remains committed to giving a voice to the voiceless, staying true to her original goal of helping those in need.

With her extensive experience and passion for family law, Attorney Charlean Leann Cooper is proud to serve Florida families during some of the most difficult and transformative times in their lives.
